Schumacher in Budapest at the Hydrogen Open

On January 22, 2026, they will meet Vivien Keszthelyi and David Schumacher at the Hydrogen Open The future of mobility today is no longer merely a technical question, but also one of mindset and personal responsibility. For Generation Z, performance, innovation, and sustainability are not separate concepts, but parts of a single, unified vision. Keszthelyi Vivien and David Schumacher represent this new way of thinking in the world of motorsport not as part of a campaign, but out of genuine personal conviction. For them, hydrogen- and electric-powered vehicles, zero emissions, and renewable-energy-based mobility are not distant promises for the future, but directions they are already actively shaping today. Motorsport has always been the fastest test track for technological progress: what appears on the race track today becomes an everyday reality on the streets tomorrow. For this reason, it sends an especially strong message that a new-generation driver duo sees the true breakthrough in the cooperation of hydrogen and electricity. Electric drive represents efficiency, while hydrogen stands for long-term sustainable energy storage and rapid refueling. Together, they form a vision of mobility that remains competitive in performance while also being environmentally responsible. Within this mindset, the communicative power and exemplary role that Vivien and David embody take on special significance. They compete in a sport where efficiency, precision, innovation, and continuous development are core values—the very same values that drive the advancement of hydrogen and electric technologies. Through their personal outlook, public presence, and careers, they can authentically reach a young, open-minded audience that will become the early adopter and shaper of sustainable solutions. On the second day of HYDROGEN OPEN, January 22nd, interested parties can meet the two. The gold sponsor of the event is MVM, with sponsors being MOL, MFGT zRT and FGSZ zRT.

It’s decided, the stakeholders will meet in Budapest

It is already known that in addition to the participation of major Canadian and European companies, the Minister of the Government of Alberta, Canada, and the joint organization of the European Union and Hydrogen Europe will also be there and are preparing to announce again at the Hydrogen Open 2026 conference and expo in Budapest. The event, organized by the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association since 2023, has grown into the leading hydrogen and biogas expo in the region after three successful years and will be held in 2026 with a new location and an expanded program. The secret of the success of HYDROGEN OPEN is that the preparations for the hydrogen technology developments in Central and Eastern Europe, the projects that will define the coming decades, are taking place in these years. Naturally, there is great interest in a professional event where supply and demand, the latest developments and start-up investments meet. The Clean Hydrogen Partnership, a joint organization of the European Union and Hydrogen Europe, has recognized the opportunity, as the organization’s CEO Valerie Bouillon-Delporte has already announced that she will hold the social consultation of their 2026 call for proposals at the Hydrogen Open Budapest event, as she did this year. The announcement comes as the three-day, high-level forum brings together nearly 500 domestic and international conference participants, as well as more than 100 technology experts from government, industry and academia. The event is expected to feature Dale Nally, Minister of the Government of Alberta, Canada, as well as several leading Canadian technology companies and their leaders. The summits, which feature speakers from policymakers and key industry leaders from Central and Eastern European countries, provide a platform for the highest-level discussion of key issues, so that developers of hydrogen and energy solutions can understand the impact of the latest policies to ensure the most effective use of successful projects. Another reason for the huge professional interest is the well-chosen location and the ever-growing range of business opportunities, as the HYDROGÉN OPEN conference is held simultaneously with the AGROMASHEXPO event, which is taking place at the same time at Hungexpo, and whose participants are open to renewable and green solutions and developments. For which the conference is preparing with targeted programs, as participants will have access to the latest political developments, market knowledge and business opportunities in the hydrogen and biogas sector – with particular attention to hydrogen valleys, agri-tech innovations, energy regulation and green production solutions. Incidentally, AGROMASHEXPO was visited by nearly 31,000 people in 2025. Incidentally, the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association also provides unique discounted square meter prices for companies exhibiting at the HYDROGEN OPEN 2026 EXPO. The organizers ask everyone to prepare for the event in time, as they can provide significant discounts for the HYDROGEN OPEN 2026 conference and expo until the end of September, and previous years have also shown that many were unable to secure their place at the event due to full houses in the last weeks.
