On April 24-25, 2024, the Central European Hydrogen Technology and Decarbonization Forum was held in Poznan (Poland), at which the President of the Hungarian Association, Istv\u00e1n Leps\u00e9nyi, proposed the establishment of a v4 hydrogen bank. Among the participating countries, the Polish association indicated that it supports the initiative.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Istv\u00e1n Leps\u00e9nyi, president of the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association, attended the two-day event at the invitation of the Polish hydrogen association, where, in addition to professional meetings and panel discussions, he consulted with Central European hydrogen associations on the steps necessary to realize a modern and climate-neutral economy. On the first day, a plenary session was held with the participation of 6 countries, including Hungary, where leaders of European hydrogen associations provided information on the implementation of their country’s hydrogen strategies.<\/p>

On the second day of the event, the panel discussion entitled „Regional cooperation and supply chain – factors accelerating the achievement of the 2050 goals” was organized, in which leaders of hydrogen associations from 5 countries participated. At the round table discussion with Hungarian, Polish, Slovak, Estonian and Portuguese participation, the challenges that need to be solved as soon as possible came to the fore. Such is the acceleration of Central European technological developments and production, as well as the creation of a trade chain that looks after the interests of the Central European region. The president of the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association indicated that the Hungarian association launched the initiative to solve these problems, as part of which the association is creating a V4 technology database for the production of electrolyzers. As the closing thought of the discussion, Istv\u00e1n Leps\u00e9nyi initiated the creation of a specialized v4 hydrogen bank alongside the European Hydrogen Bank, which is better suited to the possibilities of these countries.
