Budapest, Hungary – The „Hydrogen Revolution: Innovations Shaping Tomorrow’s Energy” matchmaking conference successfully concluded on the 16th of November at the Natural Sciences Research Centre in Budapest. This landmark event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from the European hydrogen industry, including hydrogen tech SMEs, innovators, corporate leaders seeking innovation, and renowned experts.<\/em><\/p>

Organized by Green Brother, a member of the EIT Urban Mobility RIS HUB network, and co-organized by the Hungarian Hydrogen Association, the annual conference attracted industry representatives, SMEs, university academics, researchers, and innovators, as well as the Ministry of Energy of Hungary. Throughout the event, various experts echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the crucial role of innovation in driving the hydrogen industry forward. A significant point of discussion was Hungary’s hydrogen strategy, adopted in 2021. The Ministry of Energy of Hungary is actively working on the implementation of this strategy, emphasizing the development of a robust domestic hydrogen ecosystem. The government plans to stimulate the development of the domestic hydrogen ecosystem through a number of instruments. The legislative framework is being reformed to remove barriers to the development of a hydrogen market and to facilitate the development of an efficient hydrogen market. In addition, emphasis is being placed on securing funding. KEHOP could allocate an extra 90 billion for hydrogen investments. Dr. S\u0131nd\u0131ra\u00e7 provided a comprehensive overview of Turkey’s Hydrogen Projects, focusing on the 4D HYDROGEN project. This initiative is a cornerstone of Turkey’s Hydrogen Technologies Policies, aimed at encouraging the widespread use of green hydrogen across various sectors, particularly those where carbon emission reduction is challenging, such as chemistry, iron-steel, transportation, glass, and ceramics.
